AYLF operates as a Student Leadership Movement and Young Professional Network. It is owned and advanced by the members on the various campuses/region where it is established.
Our major Aim is to “Nurture a new breed of leaders in Africa” who will transform the leadership culture in the communities they live in.
At the heart of AYLF is the dream that African leaders will know how to reconcile relationships, speak the truth without being religious or divisive, see people without labels or stereotypes, and ultimately love each other and those whom they lead.
To be a movement of friends, nurturing a new generation of African leaders inspired by the values and principles of Jesus, and exemplified by leaders like Nyerere, Sokoine, Magufuli, Gandhi, Mandela, Martin Luther King, Wilberforce and Nkrumah
Work is done simply in the name of Jesus under the auspices of a national leadership drawn from business, industry, politics, academia, and religion. It’s not done under the name of any particular organization or religious group.
We invite you to join a transformative movement that's shaping the future of Africa – The African Young Leaders Foundation (AYLF). As an organization committed to fostering leadership, empowerment, and positive change, AYLF is more than just a membership; it's an opportunity to be part of a dynamic force
We believe that true leadership in Africa begins with a foundation of friendship, integrity, and respect for all people. Guided by the timeless values of compassion, truth, and reconciliation, we are committed to nurturing leaders who see beyond stereotypes and divisions, who lead with humility, and who, like the examples set by Jesus of Nazareth and great leaders before us, inspire unity, courage, and love in their communities.
